Fabrics to beat the heat

Fabrics to beat the heat

On Tuesday, 21 June 2022 at 11:14 a.m., summer officially began in Spain.

If at the beginning of the year we presented the season's novelties, today we want to talk about those thinner fabrics, ideal for these temperatures.

Natural fabrics are a great ally when it comes to dressing cool. And of course, every year three types stand out above the average: viscose, cottons and linens.

Viscose fabrics

It is a soft, light and drapey fabric that is normally used for summer garments such as dresses, blouses or scarves, for example.

The comfortable, cool and pleasant to the touch fabric that can be mixed with other fibres, although it also works well on its own.

Crespón Fabric

We finish this selection with a fabric that, although it does not come from natural fibres, is just as fresh for the summer. An ideal solution for all those wash-and-wear garments: shirts, trousers, beach dresses?

As we mentioned in the presentation of the collection, this year we are betting on the new sustainable RAVIAL ECOline, with two essential crepes:

ECO-BAIKAL model: recycled crepe type fabric with drape , with 53% recycled in the composition ((Global Recycled Standard [GRS).] en inglés).

Model ECO-QAMIZ: It is a a light and elastic article in one sense, very pleasant, which could be defined as a Crepe Marocain. Very fine marocain-like touch. With 62% recycled in the composition (GRS), it is a silk-like fabric with lycra, slightly wrinkled.

A fabric that could be similar to our ECO-BAIKAL model, but nevertheless, they are two different series. The main difference is that the ECO-BAIKAL modelhas more weight and more drape compared to the ECO-QAMIZ model.
